"What would convince young people about the value of studying engineering and computing at GCAL University?"

This project was phase one of a two-part project. This stage saw two Glasgow schools with a history of high percentages of pupils going onto further education working with the University. One school was an all girls school to help increase the number of females working on the overall project.

NB. In phase two we will be working with two schools in the east end of Glasgow with traditionally lower numbers of pupils going onto further education.

“GCALs engineering and computing department has reassessed some of its assumptions and priorities.”

“New ideas about how young people access and pass on information about universities.”

“New ideas about the first experience of GCAL for potential students, marketing devices and strategies and the university website.”

“Young peoples interest in work related outcomes and the perceived potential of the courses was higher than expected.”
